i got that phone call i never wanted to get tonight. i was just turning onto our street and my cell phone rang.
allie was crying hysterically saying she got in an accident. i asked her where she was and told her i was coming right there. she was just about 2 miles from home about to exit the freeway. i was there in minutes.
she's okay. it was a hit and run. some FUCKER hit my daughter on the freeway and drove away. it spun her into a 180 that shot her from the #2 lane into the center divider. she ended up facing the wrong way against the k-rail.
yes, i was hysterical. but once i knew she was okay, i calmed down. she calmed down.
there were some awesome people that pulled over and helped. two girls saw the guy hit her and leave, and they followed him off the freeway for about 5 or 6 miles until he pulled into an industrial complex. his car didn't have any damn plates! they got a description of the car and called it into the police. wow. people are amazing.
her car wouldn't start. there's damage to the left rear where he hit her and both the front and right rear where it hit the center divider. the right front tire is messed up pretty bad. i think the suspension or axle or steering is gonna need fixing. i don't know. at least she's okay. i bet she'll be sore in the morning though.
phew. i'm exhausted but i don't think i could sleep right now. this happened about 8 o'clock and we didn't get home until after 10. no dinner either. maybe some food would be good.
